ABOUT VICKERY MEADOW YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION
Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation was founded in 2007 to provide educational and enrichment opportunities for students and families in the Vickery Meadow neighborhood of Dallas, Texas with a mission of connecting youth to the capacity-building resources they need to unlock their full potential. The Vickery Meadow community is characterized by its diverse population, with residents originating from over 16 countries and speaking more than 30 languages.
As college access and availability has become more challenging, specifically for black and brown and first generation students, VMYDF recognizes the importance of removing barriers that exist to help under-estimated youth achieve their dream of college and a career. VMYDF is a comprehensive educational organization focused on youth’s educational progression from sixth grade through college graduation while also supporting families to navigate the educational system.
