The Success Center
The Success Center was opened in 2021 and has since been offering a multitude of programs to the community. We aim to have the center be an educational hub where parents and students can come and learn more about educational, community, familial, and self-efficacy resources.
The Success Center Hours:
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays: 9 AM – 5 PM
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9 AM – 7 PM
Saturdays: 9 AM – 2 PM

What We Offer at the Success Center
Weekly Programming
Each week, we provide programs for both youth and adults in the community surrounding skill-building, conversations about health and wellness, information on education, and workshops and programs that lead to easier access to college. Check out our upcoming programs here!
Computer Help Center
Connected Dallas Digital Ambassadors provide support for any help you need to get online and navigate services you need, whether creating an email, setting up appointments, paying bills, registering for programs or looking for a job! Learn more about our Computer Help Center here.
Monthly Food Distribution
Every fourth Friday of the month, we offer a food distribution day in partnership with Catholic Charities Mobile Food Truck. Distribution begins at 9:00 AM and lasts until 11:00 AM or until supplies last. Be sure to get there early to register and please bring your own reusable bag or cart to assist you with the groceries. Coffee Shop
Located at the Success Center is a public room that we call the “Coffee Shop.” This space is set up with a free coffee machine, fridge, and microwave that you can use while you are at the center. With access to free WiFi, this cozy space is great for hosting a study session or working with friends! Check out our building hours here.
Parkland Pod Services
This telehealth pod is located by the main entrance of the Success Center! It is open to community members and is a way to access virtual medical appointments in a safe, private space— right here in Vickery Meadow. Take a moment to stop by and check it out! It is always open and available as long as our building is open. Check out our building hours here!
Free Book Nooks
Around the Success Center are various “Book Nooks” that are fully stocked with diverse and cultural books that students are welcome to take home. We stock these areas with purchased and donated books to ensure that we can encourage students to read outside of school and improve literacy rates throughout the neighborhood. Yasmin Milan
Yasmin is the Manager of Business Operations and oversees the management of the Success Center at VMYDF. Being an EAGLE Scholar herself, she is proud to be able to give back to a program that helped her grow.

Salimatou Diallo
Salimatou is the Community Engagement Coordinator and coordinates community events, volunteers, and the different opportunities to engage within the Vickery Meadow community. With her work in refugee services, she is excited to offer her expertise to the team.
